We can assist in any phase of the process, and believe all phases must be completed in order to launch an effective school.

Phase I - Research and Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive market and needs assessment for founders and/or board of directors
  • Assess regulations, legislation and state oversight requirements
  • Develop start-up and operating budget
  • Develop regulatory and contract compliance checklists for use by operations team
  • Facilitate creation of legal entities and coordinate IRS tax-exempt applications with legal counsel
  • Begin “pre-negotiation” and relationship building with school district or other authorizer

Phase II - Design and Development

  • Develop organizational chart and governance plan
  • Complete charter school application
  • Develop instructional model and education plan – assist in securing appropriate instructional software and systems
  • Conduct facility search and assist with lease negotiations
  • Design and configure school facility
  • Assist in securing capital for development of facility
  • Design marketing and student enrollment outreach plan

Phase III - Secure Approval of Charter

  • Submit and defend application to charter authorizer
  • Analyze and pursue grant opportunities
  • Assist with grant writing and management
  • Conduct training sessions with board members and other stakeholders

Phase IV - School Management and Operations

  • Manage on-going operations of school
  • Deliver instructional program to students
  • Conduct enrollment outreach and marketing
  • Coordinate public relations and event management
  • Recruit principal and staff
  • Integrate and deliver “back-office” administrative functions
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and organizational audits
